Bilingual Support (Espanol)

My name is Maria Ojeda. I was born in Puerto Rico but have spent most of my life in the United States. I am a Paralegal for Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell & Reardon, P.A. I have worked at this law firm for over a year.

I am bilingual and have used my ability to speak spanish in my professional career.
I realize there are so many Spanish speaking people who cannot communicate because of the language barrier. It is difficult wanting to express one’s opinions and problems and not knowing how to do it because of a lack on language fluency.

Working at Attorneys Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell & Reardon, P.A. has been a wonderful experience for me because I know I am helping Hispanics. By translating necessary information from our attorneys and our Hispanic clients, I help Hispanics better understand legal issues and protect their legal rights.

Our law firm handles personal injury cases. Our clients need to express to us how an incident occurred, and when and where it happened. It would be very difficult for Hispanics who are unable to speak English to express this without a translator. Since I am bilingual, I am able to inform the attorneys of our client’s side of the story and in turn inform our client's of their rights and what legal protections are available to them.

Mi nombre es Maria Ojeda. Yo naci en Puerto Rico pero he pasado la mayoria de mi vida en los Estados Unidos. Soy paralegal para los abogados Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell y Reardon. He trabajodo en esta empresa por sobre un año.

Yo soy bilingüe y he utilizado mi capacidad de hablar español en mi carrera profesional. Realizo que hay tantos hispanos que no pueden comunicarse debido a la barrera linguística. Es difícil querer expresar sus opiniones y los problemas y no instruido a causa de una falta de la fluidez de idioma.

El trabajo con abogados Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell y Reardon ha sido una experiencia maravillosa para mí porque sé que estoy ayundando a hispanos. Traduciendo la información necesaria de nuestros abogados y de nuestros clientes hispanicos, ayudo a hispanos mejor a entender cuestiones legales y a proteger las derechas legales. Nuestros clientes necesitan expresarnos cómo ocurrió un incidente, cuando y donde sucedió. Sería muy difícil para los hispanos que no pueden hablar inglés para expresar esto sin un traductor. Como soy bilinüe, puedo informar al abogado el lado de nuestro cliente de la historia y alternadament informar a nuestro cliente sus derechos y protecciones legales que están disponibles para ellos.
